Today's topic is the... Fire Crab!
What does the creature look like?
A fire crab is pretty much the size of a tortoise, and also reminded much of such a creature. It has six legs, and then it has a large, decorated shield. The shield is multicoloured in many different colours, and they are decorated with beautiful jewels in a large variety of colours too. The exact colour depends on the variant, as there are different variants of the species. You can see the different variants on the jewels as certain variants have certain coloured jewels. Most common jewels found on their shields included sapphires, emeralds and rubies.
What is its abilities?
Well, the most well-known ability that the fire crab has, is that it is capable of shooting fire out of its own rear-end. This is both used as a way to protect itself and also as an attack on others. It also makes them quite dangerous, as it is a large amount of fire that comes out. Other than that, the creature does not have many abilities, which is probably why it also can be considered an endangered species, since it does not have many ways of protecting itself.
Where does it usually live?
They are considered to be native to the island of Fiji, which means that they usually live and breed there, but they can also be imported to other countries and regions.
How well would it be to hold as a pet?
The fire crab is a rather questionable pet to have. While it generally could be an interesting pet, which behaves much like a tortoise, it could also result in some less fun situations if you do not connect with your fire crab well enough. You need to put a lot of trust into the creature - and that it does not burn your house down. They don't eat much, they are rather slow and spend most of their day sleeping, so they are perfect for the owner who does not wish to walk a dog. On the other hand, you might risk getting your hand burned when trying to feed them, so ensure that you have full trust in your fire crab, or make sure you have taken a great sip of an Ice Potion, just to ensure that you are protected.
