We all see them lingering around the site, always busy with activities we all seem to questions. What is it what those secretive boysenberries do? Do they only roll around the chat leaving cookie crumps, talk about milk or flirt with their significant other? Well my name is Kara Cassidy and I am here to find out. One of the bigger reasons we see so many first years crawling is due to the huge activity on the media accounts of World of Potter. As many of you know, or so I hope, we boysenberries are mostly known as the Social Media team. We promote the site to make sure you have friends, enemies, significant others, unexpected cousins all around you. Next to that the entertainment we provide is also hilarious, if you haven’t check it out I do advise you to go an take a look at our amazing Tweets, hilarious Facebook posts or the entertaining Instagram posts. What is a better way to support our site then to, well.. Support it online. Isn’t being online the most important thing for muggles these days or is that just my cloudy mind talking?
Now we boysenberries wouldn’t be us boysenberries without our lovely leader Andreia Caegan. I myself did some stalking, taking one for the team, and did you know the old Slytherin is apparently the leader of the apartment for Magical Accidents and Catastrophes? How exciting is that! Her magical abilities are extraordinary, not something many wizard and witches can say. Her patronus makes me think she is not to be messed with, a Runespore? The name already gives me jitters.. Her relation with our very own Professor Septime Corris makes me worry for him but alas, Andreia Caegan is not to be messed with. How else would she make a difference for us on this site?
Now before we continue to the last and perhaps the most interesting part I would first like to point out that we boysenberries actually do something else then maintaining the social media account. I mean, how else would you be reading this right now? Unlike the lovely lobsters we have our very own place to write, to tell you things and perhaps let a secret slip every once in a while.. The blog connects people, gives you something interesting to read and even spills you some secrets about certain face claims. We try to make a difference and just like the delicious boysenberry ice cream .. we are succeeding.
Now, this blog post wouldn’t be a blog post without a small and tiny interview in it. I took it upon myself to drag a fellow boysenberry under the bright light, making him take one for the team by asking these dangerous.. interesting questions. Aiden Smith joined the boysenberry team five months and has been thriving ever since, winning lion of the year award and being just a lovely addition to the chat with his funny comments and positivity even though he loves coffee.
Tell me Aiden, why did you decide to join the Social Media team?
Well, it happened during my first IG year here. After settling in and making friends with many people, I thought I could give more to this community, so I checked the available jobs. I started thinking about which of them was best suited to my personality: when I like something I always try to do everything I can to help give it notoriety, so I realized that the Social Media Team was the right choice. I sent the application and look at me now, I'm a boysenberry!
What is your greatest achievement within the team yet?
Well, interesting question! I think my biggest achievement is a combination of two things: being able to make a connection with both the leader and the other boysenberries, and "What do you think?": That format combines both my curiosity about the story of the characters of the universe that we all love and the curiosity about knowing what people think about them!
What is a social media trick you advise to the other creative minds out there?
The advice I always try to give to everyone is to use empathy: before creating, ask yourself what you would like to see or read, focus on that and let yourself go. Our minds are much more creative when we have a goal, I'm sure it will be a success!
